Mzuzu based urban music maestro, Wakisa James has today released his much-anticipated Closer audio and video which was shot in Lilongwe.

The Mzuzu-based artist says the song is his gift to his fans as we are fast approaching the end of the year.
“I have been working on the song for a long time and now I am pleased to announce that today it out and I believe people will enjoy it as it is carrying a message which anyone can feel,” says Wakisa

The song which was produced by Ken Lo and shot by Ubwino is predominantly sung in Tumbuka.
The artist who made his maiden appearance at the Lake of Stars festival’s 16th edition cherished his experience at the event and said he was overwhelmed by the opportunity to showcase his talent at the bigger stage where he performed along with Faith Musa and other well-established artists.

“I was excited when I was informed that I will be performing at the Lake of Stars 2019, this recognition showed that my work is being appreciated and from the event I have learned a lot on what I can be doing as an artist so that I can reach the level which I want in my career” he says.
